There has been a temporary restraining order granted to BASIS against RIM. The latter didn’t have a choice but to follow the court and change the name. Instead of BBX, the mobile maker will name their upcoming OS with BlackBerry 10.

As announced at DevCon Asia, RIM plans to use the ‘BlackBerry 10′ brand name for its next generation mobile platform, which will bring the best of the BlackBerry and QNX platforms to customers and partners.
