Last December 28, my friends and I went to Sri Lanka, specifically in Colombo City. We checked-in in Ceylon Continental Hotel. It’s an upmarket transient hotel, located in the heart of the city, overlooking the Indian Ocean. The hotel is quite nice and suits our budget. There are 10 of us in a group, but we didn’t checked-in on the same hotel. My batch mates Stacey and Anna booked at Galadari Hotel, while Christopher, Mincy and Josh booked at Holed at the Hilton Hotel in Colombo, because they are a big fan of Paris Hilton. WTF right?

Anyway, me, Vince, Louie, Kirsten, and Roy booked at Ceylon. Ceylon is one of the oldest hotels in Colombo and it will be renovated this February 1, 2012, that’s just less than a week from now. We just gathered at Ceylon before we start our day, visiting the places in Sri Lanka that is in our itinerary. We went to 6 cities (excluding Colombo) in the Western province in our first day at Colombo, specifically Dehiwala, Moratuwa, Negombo, Katunayake, Battaramulla, and Kotte. The names of the cities are hard to remember right? It’s just because we’re not used to it.

Wonder how we visited each city without experiencing any hassle? It’s because of our good friend Jarish, Stacey’s boyfriend. He’s our tour guide and he showed us many places to visit in the Western province. We visited a lot of places and I took pictures of various structures and monuments in Sri Lanka. I also learned a lot of things during our vacation in Colombo. Did you know that Sri Lanka is the oldest democracy in South Asia? Now you know!

I really don’t know what are the names of the structures and monuments that I took pictures of. What I remember is the Colombo Lotus Tower which is still under construction and will be completed by next year year. It will be the tallest structure in Sri Lanka once it’s completed. Another place the I remember is the Yala National Park. The Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka! I really love the nature, the wildlife and the animals, that’s why I can’t forget Yala.

Anyway, I’ll be writing more about our trip in Sri Lanka. The places to visit, what to do and where to go in Colombo, and so much more. I’m kinda sleepy now so I have to say goodnight and sweet dreams to whoever you are!

A major Google Page Rank update has occurred last month, and my PR is now down to 1 from 4. I’m kinda sad, really. But there’s nothing I can do. I only have a few back links, my blog is not updated as often as other blogs, and I have so many outgoing links in my homepage. But I guess that doesn’t really affect (but it’s still a factor) why my PR is down to 1. Anyway, I’m still happy that I’m not penalized to zero.

What I’m going to do now is work, work, and work to increase my PR again. Oh well, this is life and I have to go with it. There’s nothing constant in this world but change. So maybe, someday, my PR will increase, just like my idol Bryan Veloso whose PR is 5. Haha!

As the event approaches, more and more predictions are coming out on whose going to grab the prestigious Vince Lombardi Trophy. In as much as predictions are becoming viral, NFL betting are also heightening up. Several betting sites are giving out their own guidelines lately. One of them is the betus superbowl odds.

These odds are being influenced by the displayed plays of each of the teams this season. Players who has been giving much effort for every win that their team achieve contribute much to the outcome of the odds.

Aside from anticipating who’s going to win in Super Bowl, the predictions on who’s going to be the MVP this season is also one of the famous topics. The has been several candidates but only two among them have been eyed. One is the prodical-son-like experience of Michael Vick. Who would have thought that 3 years ago, he faced a very serious incident in his life which almost took away his football career.

He smoked marijuana and did a lot of odd things which would eventually ruin not only his football career but also his life. Good thing chances exist. Few days ago, a different kind of Vick showed up. Philadelphia Eagles is truly proud of having him all along. His display of awesome skills has become the clear evidence that he has changed. A more disciplined and a more determined Vick faced the cheering crowd.

A post in Yahoo sports states that Vick has become a smarter player, patient passer, effective decision maker, harder worker and a more dedicated practice player. Having all these positive feedbacks, there is no doubt that if Redskins could go all the way of winning the championship game, Vick would definitely be the MVP.

It’s early to predict though but Vick is one of the best choices. However, if there would be an award given to the best story of a player of the year, it would definitely be Vick’s. Just imagine how the situation turned upside down this time. Among his harshest critics three years ago are also among the number of his biggest fans today. Sometimes, you really need to pass great challenges to be the best that you can be.

As we all know, UFC 117 will start a few hours from now. UFC 117 will feature awesome fight cards and awesome fighters. The main bout will be between Sonnen, the challenger, and Silva, the champion.

I will also download DS games here so that I can still play with my good old Nintendo DS Games. 3DS is said to be backward compatible. You can still play your good old DS games and DSi games.
